Most people panic out when they find even the smallest bug in their home, but one man discovered a large monster in his home that was unlike anything most people had ever seen before.
Hari Toae recently noticed the thing hanging from a curtain rod near his ceiling but couldn’t identify it, saying it “looked like an alien.”
The inhabitant of Bali, Indonesia, made careful to record a video of the creature, which resembles a huge cricket but also a hairy octopus.
Even worse, he let it stay in his house because it was raining that evening. “I will let it stay in my house, but only for the night,” he explained in his YouTube caption. I don’t want it to frighten my guests.”
However, the unusual visitor to Hari was actually a harmless moth species known as Creatonotos gangis, which is native to Australia and South-East Asia.
Tentacles are scent organs that the moth uses to produce pheromones in order to attract a mate.
