An unidentified aircraft is alleged to have emerged from the ocean and flown alongside a former US Navy commander-in-plane.
The incident occurred on February 10, 1951, while the commander Graham Bethune and his crew were going from Iceland to Newfoundland. On the voyage, the young leader and his squad experienced a peculiar encounter that would affect them for the rest of their lives.
The gang witnessed a strange radiance spreading out from the ocean and covering a large region. Because the “thing” was so large, the men imagined they were flying above a metropolis.
As they got closer, the glow transformed into a vast ring of odd lights hovering over the lake. A golden halo then appeared.
When the UFO reached the plane’s height, the crew had to turn off the autopilot and lower the plane’s altitude to avoid crashing. The “thing” had gigantic proportions, according to the skipper and his crew.
